Loans to clear IRD debt
How a private business loan can pay IRD in full, who it suits, what we look at, and when borrowing is the wrong answer.
A loan to pay IRD replaces a growing tax balance with one business debt on known terms.
Paying Inland Revenue in full stops further late payment penalties and use-of-money interest on that debt, and brings IRD's collection process to an end. We lend for business purposes only: property-secured loans from $20,000 to $5,000,000, and unsecured or cash-flow options for trading businesses, typically $5,000 to $500,000. Bad credit and existing IRD debt are considered case by case.
A loan isn't always the right answer. If the business can't cover its costs and new tax once the old debt is gone, borrowing only moves the problem. Each page in this section explains who a route suits, what we look at, and when an instalment arrangement or other help would serve you better.
